Gwenn Tasker

Australia

PLACE OF STUDY: Certificate III (Visual Arts), Arts Academy, (honours);
BA (Fine Art, QCA) Currently enrolled in Honours (Fine Art), QCA

STATEMENT: Gwenn Tasker’s intention is to provoke an unsettling visceral reaction to her work rather than explicit suggestions.  In her series of twelve etchings in response to the poem Twelve Labours, she employs a rich visual narrative style, with elements of Greek art, such as portraying the hero in profile, while fully engaging in the unique aesthetic qualities of the etching processes.
